We are seeking a high-caliber Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our Commercial Treasury Services team. This is a high-visibility role focused on building core treasury capabilities within a leading financial institution. You will act as the primary bridge between business partners and technical engineering teams, providing strategic oversight and leadership to the BSA team to ensure the delivery of scalable, innovative technology requirements.

Important Assignment Details

Location: Onsite in Mount Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC.

Summary of the Role

As a Lead BSA, you will manage the full lifecycle of system requirements, from initial intake to final implementation. You will be responsible for:

Leadership: Acting as the BSA Lead to provide guidance, oversight, and support to the broader team while ensuring quality and reusability of requirements.

Requirements & Specifications: Leading workshops to gather and analyze complex business needs, translating them into detailed functional specifications and BDD-style user stories in Jira.

Systems Integration: Writing detailed specifications for internal and external system interfaces, specifically focusing on API behaviors, message mapping, and data formats.

Stakeholder Alignment: Developing strong partnerships with business lines, vendors, solution designers, and engineers to ensure cross-functional understanding of technical requirements.

Technical Analysis: Assisting in testing efforts, defect triage, and providing business context during root cause analysis of production issues.

Candidate Profile Requirements

Must-Have Technical Experience:

Overall Experience: 8+ years of total experience with a minimum of 7+ years as a Business Systems Analyst specifically involved in system build and integration projects.

Domain Expertise: Financial Services experience is required; 3+ years in the Commercial Treasury domain is strongly preferred.

Integration Proficiency: Hands-on experience with various integration types, including APIs, batch file transfers, message queues, and mainframe integration patterns.

Technical Tools: Familiarity with Postman to test/inspect APIs (JSON/XML), as well as enterprise tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

Methodology: Strong background in both Agile and Waterfall delivery, including writing precise acceptance criteria for BDD-style requirements.

Soft Skills:

Independence: Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple high-priority stakeholders.

Communication: Exceptional skills in leading workshops and creating visual artifacts like data flow diagrams and process models.

Education & Certifications

Education: Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
