Facility Maintenance & Custodian

DeBoer's Auto is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Facility Maintenance & Custodian to join our team. You will be the "Guardian of First Impressions," ensuring that our shop floors, customer waiting areas, and exterior grounds are pristine and welcoming. This isn't just a "behind-the-scenes" job; you will be a visible part of our team, interacting warmly with customers and supporting our technicians by maintaining an organized, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Showroom & Customer Experience: Maintain a spotless waiting area, restrooms, and front-of-house to ensure a premium experience for our clients.
• Shop Maintenance: Use a floor scrubbing machine and sweeper to keep the service bays clean, safe, and professional.
• Inventory & Logistics: Manage the organization and disposal of scrap metal and cardboard recycling.
• Exterior Grounds Care: Keep the lot looking sharp using a leaf blower and power washer. Perform light landscaping and seasonal snow removal to ensure the lot is safe for vehicles and guests.
• Vehicle Logistics: Safely move customer vehicles or shop equipment around the lot as needed.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

• Energy & Attitude: You are a "people person" with a positive vibe who enjoys interacting with coworkers and customers alike.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (essential for scrap metal and equipment handling).
• Technical Comfort: Experience (or a willingness to learn) operating a floor scrubber, power washer, and various landscaping tools.
• Reliability: A valid Driver’s License is required to move vehicles and equipment on the property.
• Pride in Work: You have a "sharp eye" for detail and take pride in keeping a facility looking its absolute best.
