Role Purpose

Our client seeks an energetic Corporate Events & Group Travel Business Development Manager to become part of their North America division. This position centers on:

  • Driving regional and seasonal visitor growth through strategic sales initiatives to expand market presence in USA outbound Business Event and Affinity Group travel sectors
  • Enhancing awareness and market demand for their destination as a premier Business Events venue, particularly emphasizing Corporate Meetings and Incentive travel programs
  • Expanding affinity group leisure travel opportunities with concentration on alumni networks, professional associations, and specialized interest-based travel communities (cultural, choral/music, educational)
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Marketing
  • Execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for Business Events (Meetings and Incentives) representing their destination brand
  • Partner with VP B2B Marketing and international business events team to formulate and execute US Business Events and Affinity Group travel initiatives
  • Develop, oversee, and assess marketing and promotional platforms designed for industry partners
Events & Partnerships
  • Support and represent the organization at industry conferences, FAM trips, and corporate functions
  • Coordinate educational and familiarization experiences for key Business Events and Affinity Group travel planner clients
  • Actively participate as organizational representative at major Business Events and Affinity Group platforms (e.g., IMEX America)
Account Management & Business Development
  • Optimize utilization of all relevant communication channels to achieve growth targets
  • Oversee Business Events and Affinity Group Travel client databases
  • Sustain consistent engagement with priority accounts through focused communications initiatives
  • Discover new prospects to expand Affinity Group travel opportunities
Operations & Analysis
  • Work collaboratively with regional tourism boards and strategic partners
  • Oversee assigned budgets ensuring efficient control and reporting aligned with organizational standards
  • Track market developments, intelligence, and competitive landscape activities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in generating growth from Corporate Meetings, Incentive Travel, and leisure Group Travel clients within the USA marketplace
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration
  • 3-5 years of applicable experience in tourism marketing, Business Events, or business development
  • Comprehensive key account management background with verified business expansion through effective CRM programs
  • Event coordination experience encompassing B2B sales events, trade show exhibitions, and sales platform creation
