Procurement/Buyer
Akkodis is seeking a Procurement/Buyer for a Contract with a client in Secaucus, NJ. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing vendor sourcing, negotiations, and BOM creation while collaborating with global teams and third‑party suppliers.
Rate Range: $36/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Procurement/Buyer Job Responsibilities include:
Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor coordination.
Lead price negotiations and contract discussions to achieve cost‑effective and timely procurement outcomes.
Develop, create, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in alignment with engineering and production needs.
Coordinate with multiple vendors and third‑party suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance requirements are met.
Collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional teams to support business objectives.
Communicate procurement status, issues, and opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
8–10 years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles.
Proven expertise in vendor negotiation, supplier management, and working with multiple vendors and third‑party partners in a global environment.
Strong experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional and global teams.
