Procurement/Buyer

Akkodis is seeking a Procurement/Buyer for a Contract with a client in Secaucus, NJ. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing vendor sourcing, negotiations, and BOM creation while collaborating with global teams and third‑party suppliers.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Procurement/Buyer Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor coordination.

• Lead price negotiations and contract discussions to achieve cost‑effective and timely procurement outcomes.

• Develop, create, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in alignment with engineering and production needs.

• Coordinate with multiple vendors and third‑party suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance requirements are met.

• Collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional teams to support business objectives.

• Communicate procurement status, issues, and opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

• 8–10 years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles.

• Proven expertise in vendor negotiation, supplier management, and working with multiple vendors and third‑party partners in a global environment.

• Strong experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional and global teams.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $37.00 per hour
