RMA of New Jersey is looking for a per-diem Acupuncturist to work in our Basking Ridge location.

Job Purpose: The Acupuncturist will treat patients on the day of embryo transfer in a surgical center environment and work within a dynamic team of nurses and physicians performing identical pre-determined laser protocol on each patient. The Acupuncturist will explain the treatment protocol and goals and any answer questions and concerns before delivering treatment. The Acupuncturist will also perform acupuncture with electric stimulation in the operating room in lieu of anesthesia on occasion.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Accurately explains purpose and procedures of laser treatment to patients WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF WESTERN MEDICAL terms ONLY.
• Administers pre- and post-laser treatments for patients with minimum supervision.
• Juggles multiple patients and maintains a smooth flow to ensure timely schedule.
• Follows pre-outlined regulations and procedures.
• Enters notes and treatment information into patient’s electronic medical chart.
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of laser equipment and goggles.

Academic Training:

• Graduate of an accredited acupuncture program – required
  1. Studies level: Graduate of Accredited School/Program
  2. Studies area: Acupuncture

• Current state acupuncture license - required

Position Requirements/Experience:

• 3+ years acupuncture experience - required
• Knowledge of reproductive medicine – preferred

Technical Skills:

• Experience and comfort using electric stimulation with needles
• Experience with Windows
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from computer.
