Job Description

Utilize Medent as the EMR system to maintain patient records accurately while ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
• Manage the appointment calendar, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff availability.
• Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and address patient inquiries.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance claims.
• Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
• Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Create invoices and manage patient billing.
• Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Medent.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Medical receptionist or front office experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with ModMed EMR system

Work Environment

• This role is based primarily at the Sparta location with the possibility of visiting other sites, including Morristown, Hackettstown, Newton, and Cedar Knolls, to provide coverage as needed.
• The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with one weekend per quarter (Saturday and Sunday), and includes one evening shift per week from 12 PM to 8 PM once trained.
• The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to handle 20-40 patients a day, depending on provider rotation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
