Accounts Payable Specialist

Who We Are

Binsky, a large-scale mechanical contracting and service provider located in NJ & PA is seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist. The assignment is six months to one year.

The Role

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for various accounting functions and activities related to the processing of invoices.


Responsibilities


  • Process invoice batches for payment, researching and resolving payment discrepancies.

  • Track vendor and subcontractor paperwork ensuring proper documentation is received before payment is released.

  • Work with Project Management and Purchasing to ensure payments are made in accordance with contract values, PO’s and subcontracts.

  • Review monthly statements for accuracy and research and resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email or mail in a professional manner.

  • Work with Project Managers and Purchasing regarding vendor issues.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principals.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills.

  • Possess the ability to multi-task, while ensuring the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and support department and co-worker needs.

  • Strong customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

  • Solid data entry and spreadsheet skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience


  • Associates’ or Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting desired (not required).

  • Entry level computer skills include keyboarding, data entry, and experience with Microsoft Office products.

  • Enjoy working as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements


  • Physical activity not limited to sitting, standing, walking, use hands and fingers, able to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
