The Legal Research Specialist provides advanced legal and business research support while helping manage and enhance the firm’s knowledge resources and research platforms. This role supports attorneys across multiple offices by delivering actionable insights, maintaining research systems, and contributing to ongoing knowledge management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex legal, business, and industry research using a wide range of information resources.
- Analyze and summarize research findings into clear, practical deliverables tailored to attorney needs.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alert services related to clients, cases, industries, and legal trends.
- Manage research resource tracking systems and ensure tools and content are accessible and well organized.
- Support the development and maintenance of intranet and practice-specific knowledge resources.
- Collaborate with attorneys, vendors, and internal teams to resolve access or research issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal research environment.
- Experience with legal research, knowledge management, and business intelligence platforms.
