Receiving Clerk (overnight) (FT)

Overnight Shift (10pm-6:30am)

We are seeking a Receiving Clerk (Overnight) for our overnight growing store team! Our Receiving Clerks plays an important role in keeping our store operations running smoothly. This hands-on position supports the Receiving Department with incoming deliveries, inventory organization, supply management, and accurate recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and ready to contribute wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Receivers with accepting, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition.
• Help organize merchandise, inventory, equipment, and supplies in designated storage areas.
• Review inventory levels and assist in identifying supplies that need to be reordered.
• Accurately enter information into purchase orders, inventory logs, safety reports, and other department records.
• Use inventory software and tracking systems to maintain accurate receiving documentation.
• Communicate with department team members, management, drivers, and suppliers regarding deliveries and inventory needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving and storage area.
• Follow all company policies and state and federal safety regulations.
• Assist with posting safety information and reinforcing proper warehouse safety practices.
• Operate approved warehouse machinery and equipment safely when properly trained and authorized.
• Work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and make timely decisions in a busy environment.
• Perform additional duties and functions as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working in a warehouse or receiving environment; grocery-store experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Familiarity with inventory software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around commercial-grade warehouse equipment.
• Forklift experience is preferred; operation is permitted only with the appropriate training and license.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, reach, and lift as required.
