Creative Design Manager

This is an on-site or hybrid role based in North Bergen, NJ. Only candidates located in NY or NJ will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Travel to Europe/Asia to identify emerging themes and new inspirations. This includes all international industry, appropriate trade shows and international comparative shopping.
Responsible for shopping the retail markets seeking new trend ideas for Off Price retailers.
Lead the research direction and development of seasonal trends.
Responsible for line plan initiation and direction.
Participate in customer presentations as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design or related field
Minimum 7+ years’ design experience in the home textile industry
Minimum 7+ years’ merchandising experience
Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
Meticulous with a robust design sense
Thorough knowledge and expertise of design & product development processes, including textiles, and demonstrated expertise in color, fabric, pattern, and execution experience.
Ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
Flexibility and team-player mentality
Effective communication skills -both verbal and written
Elevated creative knowledge combined with a good sense of fashion.
