Project Sales Consultant – Outdoor & Home Services

Location: United States (Hybrid / Field-Based with Remote Follow-Up)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Project Sales Consultant to lead customer engagement and project sales for a growing outdoor living and home services construction business .
This role owns the front end of the customer relationship —from first contact through signed agreement—and is expected to sell responsibly, accurately, and in full alignment with operations and delivery standards.
This is not a volume-at-all-costs sales role. It is a professional, consultative sales position focused on clarity, accuracy, and long-term customer satisfaction.
Lead Flow & Market Engagement:
- Robust inbound lead flow generated by marketing and brand presence.
- Support from an outbound marketing team for follow-up and outreach.
- High-level networking expected with homeowners, referral partners, and local professionals.
- Focus on qualified, executable opportunities , not churn.
Core Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Sales Execution:
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound and outbound leads.
- Conduct on-site and virtual consultations.
- Understand customer goals, site conditions, and constraints.
- Present solutions aligned with approved offerings and capabilities.
Accurate Scoping & Responsible Selling:
- Define project scope, assumptions, and exclusions clearly.
- Confirm site access, utilities, grading, drainage, and limitations.
- Avoid speculation, over-promising, or unsupported assumptions.
- Sell what can be executed — exactly as documented.
Pricing Discipline & Approvals:
- Use approved pricing tools and templates only.
- Obtain required approvals before presenting pricing.
- No unauthorized discounts, scope changes, or representations.
- Coordinate with operations to confirm feasibility and execution planning.
Proposal, Contract & Handoff:
- Prepare accurate proposals and agreements.
- Ensure contracts reflect what was discussed and sold.
- Execute a clean, documented handoff to operations.
- Remain engaged through onboarding to ensure alignment.
CRM & Documentation Discipline:
- Maintain accurate, real-time records in CRM and project systems.
- Log all customer interactions, notes, and updates.
- Ensure quotes, drawings, and approvals are properly stored.
Collaboration & Accountability:
- Work closely with operations, project management, and leadership.
- Participate in pipeline reviews and forecasting.
- Support issue resolution when questions arise.
- Sales execution must remain aligned with approved operations, pricing, and delivery standards.
How Success Is Measured:
- Quality and accuracy of sold projects.
- Minimal scope disputes and rework.
- Conversion rate on qualified opportunities.
- Customer satisfaction through handoff and execution.
- Strong alignment with operations and delivery teams.
What This Role Is Not:
- A high-pressure, volume-only sales role.
- A position that improvises scope or pricing.
- A role that shifts execution risk to operations.
- A “lone wolf” sales job disconnected from the team.
This role sells responsibly and owns the quality of what is sold.

- Base salary plus performance-based commission.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years in construction, outdoor living, or home services sales.
- Strong consultative selling and customer communication skills.

- CRM experience required.
