Employee Benefits Senior Client Manager, Team Lead - Small Group

Position Summary

• Independently leads client service including all Client Manager Senior activities.
• Acts autonomously on most decisions without guidance or direction AND delivers renewal messaging for most clients within book of business.

Primary Responsibilities

• In addition to leading client service for assigned client, spends 30% or more-time leading others.

• Manage two or more employees through performance reviews, performance improvement plans, setting priorities, book loads, handling department issues, recording time and attendance, and approval of expense reports.

• Provide strong insurance technical expertise to both clients and team.

• Partner with DSL in support of company operational objectives. 

• Maintain quality control of team renewal expirations to avoid any lapse in coverage. Ensure team members are addressing renewals in a timely manner.

• Monitor adherence to service standards through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting

• Perform periodic quality audits, when necessary.

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and development of assigned team as designated by the DSL.

• Oversight of outsourcing initiative, including integration of new and existing carrier service centers.

Work Experience
Professional Licenses/Certifications

• Must hold state life and health insurance license

Education

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent work experience would be considered

Physical Demands 
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.

Compensation
This position is located in New Jersey. The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $73,900 to $97,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
