Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Production Planner to join our Operations team. This role is critical in driving production efficiency by coordinating schedules, expediting workflows, and ensuring alignment across departments. The ideal candidate brings strong production process knowledge, thrives in dynamic environments, and is confident managing timelines without relying on an MRP system.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Own the production schedule and ensure all workflows, quotas, and delivery commitments are met.
- Collaborate daily with line supervisors and department leads to capture status updates, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain schedule integrity.
- Track and report real-time progress across production stages, flagging risks or delays to leadership immediately.
- Align materials, tools, documentation, and staffing needs in advance to avoid disruptions.
- Familiar with project-based scheduling which is subject to daily modifications.
- Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly schedules that balance plant capacity, production sequences, and customer delivery timelines.
- Analyze labor, tooling, and process requirements to optimize flow and improve throughput.
- Proactively expedite any lagging operations and adjust plans to accommodate unforeseen delays or changes.
- Generate and maintain accurate production tracking reports and dashboards for leadership use.
- Input and maintain data across production tracking systems, spreadsheets, and internal tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree in manufacturing, administration or relevant field preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a Planner and/or Scheduler
- Able to operate effectively without reliance on an MRP system
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and shop floor operations
- Comfortable communicating across functions and levels - from shop floor to executive
- Ability to plan and organize activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); data savvy and highly organized
- Apply health and safety practices
- Able to adapt to diverse work settings and operational changes

Salary Rate Range: $56,160 - $66,560 (commensurate with relevant experience)
