Shipping Manager

Position Summary The Shipping Manager will be responsible for end-to-end shipping and dispatch operations from the warehouse, ensuring accurate, timely, compliant, and cost-effective deliveries. This role requires strong control over dispatch planning, documentation, transport coordination, POD closure, returns, and cash collection oversight. Key Duties & Responsibilities Plan and manage daily and weekly warehouse dispatch schedules based on approved sales orders Verify shipping orders, invoices, packing lists, batch details, and statutory documents before dispatch Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate picking, packing, FIFO/LIFO, and dispatch readiness Manage company-owned vehicles and third-party transporters, including route planning and vehicle assignment Supervise loading operations and authorize shipment release Track deliveries and ensure timely Proof of Delivery (POD) collection Oversee cash-on-delivery (COD) processes and ensure timely cash reconciliation with accounts Handle delivery issues including delays, shortages, damages, and returns with proper documentation Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, transport laws and company safety standards Control shipping costs, reduce losses, and improve delivery efficiency Supervise dispatch staff, drivers, and loaders; ensure SOP and safety training Prepare dispatch, delivery, POD, and performance reports; monitor key logistics KPIs Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of FMCG warehouse dispatch & logistics Experience managing own fleet + third-party transporters ERP / WMS system handling POD and documentation control Cash delivery process understanding Leadership and team supervision Problem-solving under pressure Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse shipping or distribution management Proven leadership experience managing warehouse or shipping teams Strong knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping procedures Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
