Logistics Financial Analyst

Manage auditing, disputing, and processing vendor invoices for payment on behalf of the transportation team. Provide weekly and monthly financial reports. As well as evenly allocating workload to other team members to ensure Midea America Corp. stays within our vendor payment terms. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, an excellent communicator, and is able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. This person must be detail-oriented, committed to producing quality work and confident meeting tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up new carriers and shipping lines in the Midea financial system.
- Audit all invoices from transportation vendors.
- Collect back up documentation as proof of valid charges.
- Dispute invalid charges with carriers and follow-through with related parties until disputes are resolved.
- Communicate with inbound/outbound specialists to validate charges.
- Pay port charges as needed to get containers released promptly.
- Submit audited invoices in Midea finance system for approval and payment.
- Keep record of cost by charge type and provide monthly costs analysis.
- Continuously analyze and make suggestions to improve the audit processes.
- Other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 3-5 years of finance and import transportation experience.
- Advanced research, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge
Salary: $70k-80k, 10% Bonus, 401K, Medical, Vision, Dental
