Lead Software Engineer
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Middleware Engineering team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), supporting the Enterprise IBM MQ platform. This role is instrumental in building the next-generation MQ infrastructure for the enterprise.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will focus on automating a standardized, scalable, and resilient MQ platform. You’ll apply your engineering expertise to manage complex enterprise infrastructure and develop tooling that supports a well-architected MQ environment. Leveraging modern technology practices and agile methodologies, you will contribute to the evolution of a robust and efficient messaging ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Mentoring junior engineers on the team
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of full stack Java development
5+ years of experience Data Modeling
2+ years of Grafana experience
2+ years Ansible experience
2+ years for UI development
Working knowledge of microservice architecture and RESTful API
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
Knowledge and understanding of Linux

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00Benefits
