Job Overview:

The Crisis professional will work in conjunction with behavioral health team to provide emergency psychiatric evaluations and dispositions to patients in crisis in the Emergency Department

Qualifications:

Required:

Master's Degree and 1 year experience in psychiatric setting post masters

Master s program, 2 years post bachelors in psych, one year being in a crisis setting

Bachelor s degree, 3 years post bachelors in psych, one year being in a crisis setting

Scheduling Requirements:

• This is a full-time position 3pm-1130pm; rotating weekends

Essential Functions:

• Patient Care:

• Serves as an advocate for clients by facilitating connection with personal support systems and follow up mental health services.

• Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific treatment and care.

• Once contacted, arrives in the Emergency Department within 30 minutes.

• Participates in QA/QI activities.
