About the Role:

The Engineering Department Head will lead and oversee all engineering functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, managing engineering projects from conception through completion, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and professional development. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration with a technical focus, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in engineering roles, including 3+ years in a leadership or management position.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and complex projects within a business services environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Professional Engineer License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with the latest engineering software tools and technologies relevant to the business services industry.
• Prior experience working in or managing remote or multi-location teams.
• Professional engineering license (PE) or relevant certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize performance and quality.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, engineering metrics, and project statuses to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in engineering processes and technologies.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and recruitment to build a high-performing engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
