Project Type: Commercial & Retail Interior Fit-Out
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations on commercial and retail interior fit-out projects across New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania, and occasionally NYC . Responsible for on-site execution, safety, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination from start through close-out.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities and trade coordination
- Drive project schedules in fast-track interior environments
- Enforce OSHA, NYC DOB, and site safety requirements
- Perform daily site walks and quality control checks
- Coordinate inspections and manage site logistics
- Track progress, maintain daily reports, and support punch-list/close-out
- Communicate field conditions and issues to the Project Manager
Requirements
- 5+ years Superintendent experience on commercial or retail interior projects
- Strong knowledge of urban construction and inspection processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- OSHA 30 required (SST preferred)
- Procore or similar software experience
