Principal Medical Writer - Immunology
The Principal MedComm Writer will be accountable for drafting and reviewing scientifically accurate, original content for medical and promotional Pharmaceutical clients. In this role you will work with clients and the Scientific Strategy Lead to plan and develop high-impact, innovative medical communications for assigned brands. location: Telecommute

education: Doctorate responsibilities:
- Develops and reviews different types of deliverables across diverse project types and audiences. Deliverables include slide decks, video scripts, website copy, publications, live and virtual meeting executive summaries, client internal workshops, etc.
- Regularly interact with strategy lead to discuss client goals, format, and content of project-related work.
- Partner with Account Services and Scientific Strategy to develop and maintain excellent client relationships and foster organic growth. Proactively identify medical opportunities that contribute to strategic and tactical development within assigned accounts.
- Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge across relevant therapy areas with emerging expertise in the following therapeutic areas(PsA, AxSpA/AS/nr-axSpA, RA; Hidradenitis Suppurativa ). We want this person to be viewed as an expert in the field.
- Educate agency teams by providing medical downloads on science and clinical content in your area of expertise within Immunology.
qualifications:
Required Education: PhD, PharmD, NP, or MD Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of standard medical communications workstreams (e.g., ad boards, speakers' bureaus, scientific platform development, post-congress debriefs)
- Experienced relationship builder with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with oncology data reporting (clinical trial, real-world, and preclinical datasets)
- Experience in reading and interpreting prescribing information and clinical studies for a variety of audiences
- Therapeutic areas: PsA, AxSpA/AS/nr-axSpA, RA; plus Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)
- Deliverables: Training decks and competitive landscape decks for field medical
- Data skills: Ability to read/analyze clinical trial data and endpoints (ACR, PASI, ASDAS/BASDAI, HiSCR)
- 5+ years of experience as a Medical Communicatons Writer in a pharmaceutical agency setting.
- 2+ year of relevant experience as a Medical Communications Writer specifically within the Immunology space in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
