We are currently hiring for a Dental Assistant through our paid Dental Assistant in Training Program , with a track specifically leading to a Versa Dental Assistant role. This is a rare opportunity to get trained in a high-functioning, family-run practice without any prior dental experience required. You’ll gain experience in both chairside assisting and operational systems to build a well-rounded clinical foundation and prepare for long-term success.

About the Versa Dental Assistant Role

This training prepares you to become a Versa Dental Assistant — a hybrid role where you’ll learn both chairside assisting and critical practice operations. You’ll be responsible for keeping the clinical environment running smoothly, supporting doctors and patients, and helping manage the flow of the day. While some of your time will be spent assisting chairside, a significant part of your role will focus on systems such as equipment maintenance, OSHA compliance, lab case tracking, supply management, and sterilization.

We want people who don’t just complete tasks but take ownership. This role is perfect for someone with natural leadership qualities who finds satisfaction in making systems better and helping the team thrive.

What You Will Learn

• Clinical chairside support (instrument prep, x-rays, suctioning, assisting during procedures)

• Equipment management, sterilization protocols, OSHA compliance

• Tracking lab cases and managing dental supply inventory

• Communication and coordination within a large dental team

What You Bring to the Table

• High school diploma or equivalent

• No dental experience needed — just drive and a positive attitude

• Ability to make a 2-year commitment to the training and licensing process

• Willingness to study, self-learn, and complete coursework to obtain an NJ x-ray license*

Training & Licensing Pathway

We’ll train you to qualify for three dental licenses:

• NJ X-ray License

• DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

• NJ Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Upon passing, Monokian Dentistry will cover approved education costs, exam fees, and license applications through a signed reimbursement agreement.**
