Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our growing real estate and construction team. This role will support the design, visualization, and execution of residential properties, working closely with both senior designers and our construction team to bring concepts from design through completion.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, a willingness to learn, and the ability to translate concepts into clear visuals and drawings that support real-world construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create mood boards, finish palettes, and material selections aligned with project budgets and construction requirements
- Produce 2D drawings, layouts, and basic space plans to support construction projects
- Develop 3D models and renderings for design presentations, marketing materials, and internal planning
- Collaborate closely to ensure design intent is accurately executed in the field
- Review plans and materials to address feasibility, dimensions, and timelines
- Edit and enhance renderings and photos using Photoshop or similar software
- Support staging concepts and furniture layouts for listings, model units, and show spaces
- Research furniture, fixtures, finishes, and décor options within budget guidelines
- Assist with site visits, measurements, and on-site coordination as needed
- Prepare presentation decks and visual materials for internal teams and clients
- Help manage project files, schedules, and design documentation
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while meeting deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Lumion, or similar
- Basic understanding of construction drawings, materials, and specifications
- Interest in learning how designs are built in real life
- Ability to take direction and support senior designers across multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Degree or coursework in Interior Design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Self motivated, able to work independently
- 0–3 years of experience in interior design and visualization
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to grow professionally
- Clear communication skills and the ability to present ideas visually and verbally
