Healthway Natural Foods is a family-run health food store that has been serving the Northern Jersey community for over 30 years. We are looking for a self motivated, team player to join the kitchen team at Healthway. Our kitchen produces an array of seasonal organic grab and go options.

Great work environment with one week paid vacation and some paid holidays for full time employees.

Culinary experience necessary. Relevant experience would include: line cook, prep cook, culinary school, etc.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing kitchen staff / training staff on new menu items

- Ordering supplies and produce while maintaining inventory

- Maintain open communication between FOH and BOH

- Recipe Costing

- Menu innovation with willingness to learn and create menu items that are friendly to dietary restrictions. ex: dairy free

- Creation of seasonal/holiday menu items

- Maintaining/ Updating the recipe book

- Preparing healthy, organic food for the grab and go case

- Preparing hot food for the hot bar (after the pandemic)

- Ensuring cleaning procedures are being followed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Dependent on Experience
