Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

Location: Bricktown, New Jersey
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Local Pay Rate: $2,800 - $2,900 Weekly
Traveler Pay Rate: $3,250 - $3,350 Weekly
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Shift: Days
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech to support physicians and clinical teams during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong Cath Lab experience, expertise with cardiovascular imaging equipment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum two (2) years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience in an acute care hospital.

• ARRT Certification required.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Radiologic State License required where applicable.

• Experience operating C-arm and fluoroscopy imaging equipment.

• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring systems and sterile procedural techniques.

• Ability to participate in on-call coverage and emergency procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile trays and organize procedure-specific equipment.

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular procedures.

• Attach EKG leads and perform patient preparation according to established protocols.

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

• Operate C-arm and X-ray imaging equipment during procedures.

• Load and operate power injectors.

• Calibrate and monitor hemodynamic equipment.

• Assist with vascular closure devices and sheath removal procedures.

• Maintain digital imaging systems and procedural documentation.

• Support emergency interventions and patient stabilization efforts.

• Assist with inventory management and supply control.

• Participate in equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance activities.

• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and hospital policies.
