Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU (Recovery Room) – Contract
Location: Westwood, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/04/2026
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Rate: $2100-$210/week
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced recovery unit supporting post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties. This role involves monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring safe, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in Phase I PACU
- Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and airway status
- Administer medications and manage pain control
- Assist with extubation and respiratory support as needed
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols

Requirements
- Active RN License (NJ or Compact)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Strong skills in airway management and post-op care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a variety of surgical cases (ortho, general, neuro, robotics)
- Prior travel experience (not required)
Additional Requirements:
- On-call required
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- First-time travelers accepted
