Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Access Control in South Hackensack, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Enforce site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
- Provide directions and assistance to visitors, employees, and contractors as needed, maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
- Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Maintain detailed reports and logs of daily activities, access control incidents, and observations.
- Assist in emergency response activities as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
- Support the overall security-related operations of the logistics and distribution location by maintaining a visible presence and providing customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
