• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 37 beds, average census 32
• Orientation: 18 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with rapid response teams, peripheral IV line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Must live more than 75 miles from Newark, NY
• Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed

Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• Implement isolation precautions and manage oxygen delivery systems (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks)
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
• Float to other units to support patient care needs
