Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst job in Montvale, NJ for our direct client. In this job, you will create data queries, build visualizations, and work with end users to gather and translate reporting requirements into clear, actionable insights.

Junior Business Intelligence Analyst job responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards and reports using BI tools
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into BI tools and databases
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across multiple data sources
• Translate business requirements into technical reporting specifications
• Document data sources, transformations, metric definitions, and report logic
• Collaborate with BI and data teams, as well as business stakeholders, to deliver impactful reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, including joins and aggregations
• Experience working with structured datasets, including tables, schemas, and relationships
• Familiarity with basic data warehousing and business intelligence concepts
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (Qlik experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with SQL Server
• Understanding of data modeling fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Eagerness to learn and understand business processes
