Senior Controller (Remote) - Advisory Firm
Cherry Hill Advisory is a boutique internal audit, risk advisory, and CFO services firm based in Cherry Hill, NJ. We're looking for an experienced Controller to lead hands-on accounting operations across a portfolio of client engagements.
This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who can independently own the month-end close process, manage day-to-day bookkeeping, and bring structure and accuracy to multiple client accounts simultaneously.
What you'll do:
* Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple client engagements
* Own and execute the month-end close process independently
* Maintain accurate books using QuickBooks Online (multi-entity experience a plus)
* Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP
* Identify process improvements and support scalable accounting workflows
* Communicate directly with clients on financial matters with confidence and professionalism
What we're looking for:
* 5–8 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a controller or senior accounting role
* CPA or international equivalent strongly preferred
* Expert-level QuickBooks Online proficiency, multi-entity experience ideal
* Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
* Proven ability to own a close process from start to finish, not just support one
* Self-starter with strong communication skills and sound judgment
* Must be available and responsive during US Eastern business hours
* Based in Latin America preferred
Bonus points for experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a consulting or outsourced accounting environment.
