Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

As a mechanic, you will be responsible for safely repairing and maintaining machinery within the plant. This includes carrying out preventative maintenance, machinery repairs, and supporting production in various capacities. When not engaged in specific repairs or preventative maintenance, your focus will be on improving production outcomes through the most effective methods available.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, including pneumatics, hydraulics, piping and valves, bearing removal and installation, pumps, motors, couplings, and shaft alignment.
• Conduct repairs on equipment such as depalletizers, rinsers, fillers, cappers, labelers (Krones, P.E., Burt, Clowe), casepackers, palletizers, boxformers, casesealers, glue pots, conveyors, and pressing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Assist in projects aimed at improving production results and machinery performance.

Essential Skills

• Experience in mechanical and industrial maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Mechanical and some electrical experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred GMP or food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulics.
• Skills in welding, including TIG and Arc welding.
• Experience with production and maintenance technician roles.

Work Environment

Work in a food-grade, GMP-regulated environment. The facility is older and may have wet or sticky floors due to juice production. You must be comfortable ducking under lines, using low stairs to walk over lines, and bending, stooping, and lifting as needed. Shifts are Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays, with hours from 7 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65104.00 - $65832.00/yr.

Will join the Union, eligible for Union benefits. I have packet, information if we need to send.
