American Medical and Trade Institute is launching a 40–50-hour Yoga Foundations & Youth Leadership course for juniors and seniors in a North Jersey high school, and we’re looking for a yoga instructor who can teach effectively in both a traditional classroom and the school gymnasium .

Students will divide their time between academic learning and hands-on practice. In the classroom, you’ll cover essential concepts such as basic anatomy, safety principles, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and leadership skills. In the gym, you’ll lead beginner-friendly yoga sessions, simple flows, and practical application of the techniques they’re learning.

We’re looking for an instructor who can transition smoothly between theory-based teaching and active movement. Someone who can keep older high school students focused, set clear expectations, and create a calm and supportive environment within a typical school setting.

The ideal candidate brings formal yoga-teacher training (RYT-200 preferred), experience working with teens, and strong communication and classroom-management skills. You should feel confident teaching students who may be completely new to yoga and guiding them step-by-step in a safe, accessible, and encouraging way.

This program gives juniors and seniors real stress-management tools, leadership experience, and wellness skills they can carry beyond graduation. If you’re passionate about yoga and comfortable teaching in both classroom and gym environments, we’d love to speak with you.
