We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with strong defense-side experience to join our legal team in Parsippany, NJ . This is a 100% onsite, direct-hire role offering a salary of $60,000+ (DOE) .

Job Summary:

This role is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who is confident managing complex litigation cases, handling large volumes of documents, and independently driving cases forward. You will support attorneys in all phases of litigation with a strong focus on discovery, pleadings, billing support, and case management .

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end litigation case files and support trial preparation
• Draft complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses independently
• Handle discovery review, document production, and background analysis
• Support attorney billing by accurately documenting and crafting time narratives
• Manage case calendars, deadlines, and litigation schedules
• Organize and review large volumes of legal documents
• Collaborate with attorneys while working independently on assigned matters
• Anticipate next steps in case progression and proactively manage workflow

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
• Strong experience with discovery requests and background reviews
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents independently
• Strong understanding of legal billing practices and time narrative documentation
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Defense-side litigation experience strongly preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Personal injury defense litigation experience (especially aligned with billing expectations)
