• Location: Plainsboro Township, NJ (Zip: 08536) — Labor & Delivery nurse position in New Jersey
• Contract Duration: 14 weeks
• Start Date: March 31, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Night shift / 12-hour night shift)
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Hourly Pay Rate: $93/hour
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,250–$2,370
• Orientation: March 31, 7am–5pm
• PennChart Training: April 7, virtual, 8am–2:30pm (PennChart / EHR)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse, maternity nursing)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey (NJ)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and maternal-fetal monitoring preferred
• Familiarity with PennChart or other EHR systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Perform continuous and intermittent maternal and fetal monitoring, interpret fetal heart tracings (EFM), and escalate concerns as appropriate
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and assist with pain management and epidural care
• Support and assist with deliveries, including preparation for operative or high-risk deliveries when needed
• Provide newborn care and initial assessments; participate in neonatal resuscitation when indicated
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatric teams, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in PennChart (EHR) and participate in orientation and ongoing training
