Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) required
• Demonstrated academic credits in Mathematics are essential
• Candidates with a Teacher of the Handicapped certification and Math credits are also encouraged to apply
• Experience or passion for working with special education populations in a school setting
• Strong communication skills, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver math instruction to special education students in accordance with IEPs and district standards
• Collaborate closely with instructional staff and parents to customize learning experiences
• Adapt lessons and strategies to address a variety of learning needs and abilities
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessments and documentation
• Contribute to IEP meetings, development, and goal setting for students
• Maintain a welcoming, supportive classroom that encourages confidence and resourcefulness
