Accounts Receivable Specialist

Staff Management Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client in Clifton, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM

Pay Rate:

• $25 / hour

Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, and maintaining up-to-date records of accounts receivable transactions. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s cash flow and financial health by monitoring outstanding balances and resolving discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with company policies.
• Record and reconcile incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit card transactions).
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment discrepancies, and collection efforts.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service) to resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years in accounts receivable or similar accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
