Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CVICU RN with a strong background in acute care to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients post open-heart surgery and will be skilled in ICU protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute patient care in the CVICU, including post-operative recovery.
• Manage ventilated patients and assist with chest tube insertion/removal.
• Utilize advanced monitoring devices such as Swan-Ganz catheters and Impella.
• Administer blood products and participate in the management of chronic and acute renal failure.
• Float to various intensive care units and PACU as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
• Previous CVICU experience with fresh open hearts such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Active NJ or Compact RN License required at time of submission.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT highly preferred.
