Job Title: Registered Nurse – Mother Baby (Postpartum Focus)
Location: Neptune, NJ
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Pay Rate: $32 - $39/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Mother Baby (Postpartum Focus) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Neptune, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on clinical needs and physician orders.

• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans for assigned patients.

• Monitor maternal and newborn recovery following delivery.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions in accordance with standards of care.

• Provide newborn care, education, and support to new mothers and families.

• Document patient care accurately based on acuity, standards, and clinical priorities.

• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety initiatives.

• Support patient education related to postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning.

• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Mother Baby/Postpartum nursing experience required.

• Experience in Postpartum nursing, Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and OB Operating Room required.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) required.

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Compact Multi-State RN License required.

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.

• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM Certification required.

• Strong knowledge of postpartum and newborn care, maternal-child health nursing, patient assessment, and care planning.

• Excellent communication, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

• Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• 5 years of Mother Baby/Postpartum nursing experience preferred.
