EXECUTIVE CHEF

Location: Burlington City, NJ

A well-established and growing , high-volume restaurant with a near scratch kitchen in Burlington City is seeking a talented and motivated Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative culinary professional who enjoys leading people, developing exceptional menus, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen operations. BENEFITS

• Competitive salary: $55,000–$80,000 , based on experience and qualifications

• Complimentary employee meals

• Paid vacation:

o 1 weeks after 6 months of employment

o 2 weeks beginning your second full year

o 3 weeks beginning your third full year

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, supervise, and schedule a team of approximately 12 back-of-house employees

• Create innovative, high-quality dishes and memorable dining experiences

• Develop seasonal menus, daily specials, and featured offerings

• Prepare Restaurant Week menus, banquet menus, and private event menus

• Order food and kitchen supplies while maintaining strong vendor relationships

• Calculate and manage menu food costs to maximize profitability

• Minimize food waste through proper inventory management and kitchen procedures

• Recruit, train, mentor, and coach kitchen staff while maintaining performance standards

• Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Proven experience with food costing, inventory management, and labor scheduling

• Creative approach to menu development and presentation

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example

• ServSafe Certification is preferred
