Job Summary: As a Front Desk Attendant at The Fort, you will be the first point of contact for members and guests. You will ensure a welcoming and positive experience for everyone entering the facility. This role involves handling inquiries, membership sales, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the center.
Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests warmly and assist them with check-ins and check-outs.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the facility and services.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby.
- Monitor and ensure security protocols are followed, such as checking member IDs and enforcing access policies.
- Assist in resolving member concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Perform opening and closing duties according to established procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fitness center or hospitality setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications (e.g., MS Office, email, scheduling software).
- Knowledge of fitness center operations, including membership sales and class scheduling, is a plus.
- CPR/AED certification may be required (training provided if necessary).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary
- $17 - $19 per hour, shift dependent
