Therapist

This role provides high-quality clinical services, including psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, treatment planning, and case management. The clinician ensures that clients receive effective, age-appropriate, and compassionate care. Job Functions and Duties: Demonstrates competency in the knowledge and skills necessary to support the best possible outcomes for each client. Provides age-appropriate care and accurately assesses and interprets data relevant to the client’s developmental stage. Leads activities focused on daily living skills and assists clients directly with self-care needs. Facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Coordinates development and implementation of treatment plans, comprehensive assessments, discharge plans, referrals, and required updates within established timeframes. Maintains accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with GenPsych policies. Participates in case conferences and scheduled treatment planning meetings, contributing to and collaborating with the treatment team. Identifies changes in clients’ clinical status and communicates these changes to the treatment team. Interacts professionally and respectfully with clients, families, and staff. Provides support to auxiliary staff, student interns, and volunteers. Coordinates discharge planning and communicates plans clearly to clients, families, and external providers. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all privacy standards. Follows GenPsych policies and procedures while upholding a high standard of quality care. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling psychology, social work, or a closely related field. Active New Jersey licensure in good standing (LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW required). Experience providing therapy to adults. Experience working with substance use disorders preferred. Experience facilitating DBT individual or group sessions is a plus.
