Forklift Driver

Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Driver for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 4:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $18 / hour

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a skilled Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading containers and putting away products in designated storage locations. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for experienced candidates who can read, write, and speak English, and are ready to join a fast-paced, safety-focused team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload containers.
• Put away products accurately and efficiently into proper storage locations.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and damage.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Support general warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of materials handled.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team and supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Must be forklift certified and demonstrate safe handling practices.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
