Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
Compensation: $2,400 – $2,800 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)

Job Summary:

A leading acute care medical center in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of MRI procedures under the direction of a qualified physician with a high level of technical accuracy while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures with at least 99% accuracy and compliance with department standards.

• Schedule and manage patient examinations efficiently throughout the shift.

• Prepare and administer contrast media accurately; process images within 30 minutes of exam completion.

• Translate physician orders into appropriate imaging protocols with high accuracy.

• Maintain patient logs, equipment records, and collaborate with radiologists to optimize protocols.

• Assume charge responsibilities as assigned, including workflow coordination.

• Prioritize and complete stat and emergency studies as requested.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Ensure productivity remains within 20% of the FTE monthly average.

• Deliver excellent patient care and maintain high satisfaction standards.

• Monitor supplies and inventory; report needs to leadership.

• Safely transport patients and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

• Assist with cross-training, coverage, and additional departmental projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

• Active New Jersey State MRI License – Required.

• ARRT (MRI) Certification – Required.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed MRI Technologist.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for patient and team interaction.
