URGENT NEED: NIGHT SHIFT CT TECHNOLOGIST

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist for an immediate opening. This role requires a professional with a strong background in radiologic technology and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

SCHEDULE:

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Routine Days: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights (3 nights per week)
• Start Date: ASAP

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clinical Procedures: Perform Computerized Tomographic procedures efficiently, ensuring all routine scans are completed within a 45-minute timeframe.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and computer applications specific to CT imaging.
• Image Management: Verify the presence of images and ensure accurate documentation within the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
• Patient Care: Interview patients for clinical history, provide educational instructions to families, and manage the physical and psychological needs of the patient during procedures.
• Compliance: Adhere to all Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies, as well as State and Federal regulations.
• Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, and maintain all necessary licensures and certifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Graduate of a formal Radiologic Technology program (AMA approved).
• Certification: ARRT registry eligible and/or NJ State Board of Examiners certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Preferred Skills: Prior GE experience is highly preferred.
• Clinical Knowledge: Solid understanding of radiation protection and demonstrated competency in performing CT procedures.

PHYSICAL & PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Ability to manage multiple assignments under strict time constraints.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Dexterity and visual acuity to operate specialized equipment and view high-resolution imagery.
