Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Bridgeton, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Responsibilities: - Assist with recruitment efforts, including coordinating interviews and managing candidate communications. - Support the onboarding process by preparing new employee packets and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. - Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and technical requests. - Facilitate the creation and distribution of employee identification badges. - Utilize HR systems such as Kronos, Outlook, Teams, and Excel to manage administrative tasks efficiently. - Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies. - Collaborate with HR leadership to address employee relations matters and provide support where needed. - Assist with background checks and other pre-employment procedures. - Generate reports and analyze data to support HR operations. - Provide bilingual support, if applicable, to enhance communication across diverse teams. Requirements - Proven experience in human resources administration or a related field. - Familiarity with HR systems such as Kronos, Outlook, Teams, and Excel. - Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with bilingual proficiency preferred but not required. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. - Knowledge of onboarding processes and employee relations practices. - Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting. - Previous experience with background checks and pre-employment screenings is a plus.
