Manufacturing Assembler

URGENTLY HIRING JUNIOR TO SENIOR PANEL BUILDERS/PLC INSTALLERS

The Manufacturing Assembler is tasked with assembling and wiring electrical panels and enclosures, both in-house and at job sites. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and a commitment to quality and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the manufacturing process.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Layout and mount electrical components onto panels.
• Wire electrical components on panels according to diagrams and specifications.
• Install assembled panels into enclosures and perform final wiring.
• Identify and resolve issues during the Quality Check process.
• Prepare completed systems for shipping.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
• Perform on-site wiring and mechanical and electrical installations as needed.
• Travel locally within a 75-mile radius up to 12 times per month and out-of-town 12 times every three months.

Essential Skills

• Electrical and Mechanical Aptitude with over 3 years of experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with electrical assembly or similar manufacturing work.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift 40-60 pounds, and perform tasks requiring bending or reaching.
• Ability to use hand tools such as jigsaws, drills, taps, and wrenches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical school or some college preferred.
• Experience as a Panel Builder, Wire Man, or Panel Assembler.
• Familiarity with power tools, print reading, schematic reading, assembly, welding, and machining.
• Manual dexterity and experience with troubleshooting, installation, and electronics.

Work Environment

Work an 8am-4pm shift, Monday to Friday, with approximately 1.5 hours of overtime per day. The role is based in a well-organized, climate-controlled shop environment. You will work at a bench and need to bring some of your own hand tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr.
