Job B rief

The Senior Manager of Accounting is a role that will work closely with the firm's Controller and CFO and will manage the day-to-day accounting operations for the law firm. The successful candidate will report to the firm's Financial Controller and have at least 3+ years experience in the legal (Personal Injury) industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month end close (G/L review, accruals, journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, etc.)
• Manage the settlement process across multiple litigations
• Training and management of the accounting department
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and the integrity of the General Ledger (G/L)
• Create SOPs for all department functions
• Understand the complete accounting and case cycles
• Adhoc projects as assigned
• Maintains strict confidentiality around record keeping and financial information

Requirements and S kills

• 3+ years of experience in the legal industry with a strong understanding of accounting rules, policies, and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Exposure to Litify and Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Detail oriented and able to multitask on many projects while keeping true to deadlines
• Proactive and can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
