POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a construction veteran tired of the physical toll of the field but still want to solve complex building problems? This role is a "fast-track" for seasoned professionals from the MEP trades, general contracting, insulation, or life-safety systems to transition into high-level engineering consultancy.

You don’t need specific firestop experience—we will teach you that. We need your real-world building intuition. You will leverage your ability to read plans and understand jobsite sequencing to provide technical guidance, system recommendations, and engineering solutions to architects, contractors, and inspectors nationwide.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

• Technical Advisory: Act as the "Expert in the Room" for contractors and engineers, providing phone and digital guidance on complex field conditions and code requirements.

• Plan Interpretation: Deconstruct architectural and MEP plans to identify penetration layouts and recommend compliant system solutions.

• Problem Solving: Use AutoCAD to adapt technical details into real-world applications (we can teach you the drafting; you provide the logic).

• Strategic Cross-Referencing: Use your knowledge of building materials to translate competitor systems into superior company-specific solutions.

• Internal Liaison: Serve as the "voice of the jobsite" for our internal R&D and chemistry teams to help drive product innovation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ Years of Construction Industry Experience: Background in commercial construction, building materials, MEP coordination, or life-safety systems.

• Blueprint Literacy: Advanced ability to interpret architectural/MEP drawings, wall schedules, and specifications.

• Technical Aptitude: Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) AutoCAD and technical databases.

• Communication: You can speak the language of a field installer one minute and a senior architect the next.

• Analytical Grit: You enjoy digging into the "why" of a code requirement to find a compliant solution for a client.
