Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team and health network. This position offers an exciting blend of in-depth patient care opportunities for scholarly work and involvement in medical education. The role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while contributing to the growth and development of our endocrinology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of professional activities including direct patient care teaching and quality improvement initiatives.

Highlights:

• Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
• Facilitate transition services for pediatric and adolescent diabetes patients at the MOLLY Center for Children with Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders.
• Support the preoperative consultative service for diabetic patients.
• Assist the Director of the Diabetes Program with inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients who do not have an endocrinologist.
• Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule including weeknights weekends holidays and vacation coverage in collaboration with practice physicians.
• Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
• Assume a teaching role for medical students residents and endocrinology fellows.
• Assist in developing patient care protocols and clinical outcomes to enhance cost-effective high-quality care

Requirements:

• MD DO Degree from a recognized medical school;
• Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology in a recognized institution;
• Experience in endocrinology/diabetes and/or an affiliation with an academic institution
• Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology
• Board Certified Internal Medicine & Endocrinology
• Ability to obtain and/or possess a New Jersey Medical License

COMPENSATION:

Minimum Starting Base Salary: $208203

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
