Job Title: Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Perth Amboy. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about keeping machinery running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform troubleshooting and repairs
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and machinery
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out maintenance tasks
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a clean work area
• Document all maintenance and repair activities
• Recommend system improvements or modifications

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

• Comfortable running independently
• Process equipment experience
• Comfortable working with chillers and boilers
• Start up and troubleshooting experience
• Allen Bradley PLC understanding
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Additional Skills:

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
• Skilled in using various power and hand tools
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Degree in engineering or manufacturing is a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
