The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible managing the day-to-day pharmacy operations of the RWJBH oncology service line at the Old Bridge Oncology Infusion location,
This includes implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures, supervision and training of staff, inventory management, quality assurance and regulatory compliance,
The Operations Manager of this location shall serve as the Registered Pharmacist-In-Charge, navigating all communication and ensuring ongoing compliance with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy, New Jersey Drug Control Unit, New Jersey Department of Health and Federal Drug Enforcement Administration regulation as pertaining to medication management standard and regulation,
Ensure that the RWJUH oncology satellite operations are in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations,
Requirements:
B,S, or PharmD from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy required
Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate NJ Board of Pharmacy required,
Prior working oncology training and experience required,
Preferred:
Prior pharmacy management experience preferred,
Essential Functions:
Participate in day to day infusion center staffing,
Provides oversight of staff schedules,
Responsible for writing the pharmacist and pharmacy technician schedules and reviewing corresponding time cards,
Responsible for the development, implementation , and monitoring of pharmacy operations,
Ensures daily operations and distributive processes are effective and safe,
Responsible for the development and review of pharmacy policies and procedures and education to Pharmacy staff of policies and procedures,
Works to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all controlled substance diversion prevention and monitoring standards,
Participates in controlled substance reviews and audits,
Develops and participates in training for pharmacists and new technical staff,
Develops and documents staff competency on an ongoing basis and develops improvement plans wen deficiencies are identified,
Oversee all aspects of inventory control,
Reviews patient schedules for appropriateness of medication inventory stocking and management,
Optimizes Pyxis inventory for efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services,
